Solar Hyper Coat is a specially developed nanocoating solution designed to improve the performance and longevity of solar panels. Its primary objectives are to reduce maintenance costs, extend operational lifespan, and preserve long-term energy production efficiency. This solution directly addresses the challenges faced in the solar energy sector, especially in environments with high dust levels, ultraviolet (UV) radiation, and pollution factors that significantly affect the performance of solar panels.

 

 

 

 

The product is available in 2 formulations:

  1. Water-Proof & Anti-Dust Coating
    Engineered for environments with high airborne particulates, this formulation features superhydrophobic properties with a water contact angle of up to 150 degrees. This allows water droplets to bead up and roll off the surface easily, carrying dust and contaminants away. The coating is applied by spraying 250–300 ml of the solution evenly on a clean, dry solar panel to achieve uniform coverage.
  2. Anti-Dust Coating
    Suitable for targeted applications, this version is applied by wiping 50 ml of the solution onto a clean, dry panel using a microfiber cloth.

 

A key highlight of Solar Hyper Coat is its ability to form a precise, ultra-thin coating layer with an optimized thickness of 606 ± 88 nanometers. This layer enhances water repellency while maintaining the visual clarity of the panel. Its superhydrophobic nature allows for effective self-cleaning, as water droplets gather dust and other surface particles before rolling off the surface.

 

 

Additionally, the coating improves light transmittance by over 5%* (depending on local environmental conditions and annual variation), across all wavelengths and incident angles, including 90°, 30°, 45°, and 60°. This enhancement in light capture translates into increased energy production. Importantly, the application of Solar Hyper Coat does not void existing solar panel warranties making it a safe and certified choice for asset owners.

 

 

The self-cleaning capability significantly reduces the accumulation of dust and surface contaminants, thereby maintaining optimal panel efficiency over time. Typically, uncoated solar panels may experience up to an 8% annual loss in efficiency. Solar Hyper Coat mitigates this degradation, thereby enhancing power generation and increasing revenue.

 

 

Solar Hyper Coat has been certified non-toxic according to ISO 10993-5 and confirmed non-irritant under OECD TG 439 and OECD TG 236 standards. It is therefore safe for ecosystems and water sources.
