Mitsubishi Consolidates Forces – Combines Industrial Automation Machine (IAM) Business with Factory Automation Product Segment.

Mitsubishi Group has a policy to combine Factory Automation products to be in one company in order to increase the competitiveness in the long term and increase the business opportunities and progress for increasingly growing. Thus, some of the company’s businesses which are the Industrial Automation Machine (IAM) which provides sales and after-sales services, such as, Laser Machines and Electric Discharge Machine, have been transferred to Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (MELFT), an affiliated company engaged in trading and servicing the Factory Automation products, which is the same type of business, effective as of and from 1 May 2024.

Mr. Wichiene Ngamsukkarsemsri, Managing Director of Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation Thailand Co., Ltd. (MELFT) revealed that the business combination in the Industrial Automation Machine (IAM) with the Factory Automation Products was considered as an integration of the corporate power and strategy of the company to make it stronger and more prominent from the perspective of the industry and within the organization itself because no matter what they were Industrial Automation Machine and Factory Automation after being integrated, it would be deemed to be an offer of a Total Solutions to the industrial sector. This merger would consider to be yet another step on the road to success that would make the organization move forward to become a Circular Digital Engineering company. (Any rate, a transformation to Circular Digital Engineering had already been a vision of the company).

“We have a clear corporate vision, which is to transform our company into Circular Digital Engineering; that is the corporate management strategy being focused on giving the importance to the management of 4 Intangible Assets which are (1) Technological Assets which means the Mitsubishi Electric’s products that have continuously been developed. The IAM products are considered another important product group that can fulfill the purpose of our business company in Thailand, (2) Partner Assets which means the group of former partners in the Factory Automation business line consisting of about 80 companies, however, after combining, we expect to have a total alliance of more than 100 companies, (3) Customer Assets which means the customer base in the industrial group which we have an aim to expand even more, particularly, on the automotive industry and parts manufacturers and the intelligent electronics industry (meaning the electronic products from upstream to downstream), and (4) Sale & Service Team Assets, which means our own Working Team that will be able to utilize the increased knowledge and ability in order to bring them for the development of our organization, to better meet the needs of the main industrial sectors in Thailand both in terms of a variety of industrial types and areas of each industry spread throughout Thailand.”

Answering Questions with Future Solutions… All Along Together with Comprehensive Service Work for Partners.

Mr. Nopadol Kangsachart, General Manager of Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd. (IAM), said, from over 20 years of experience in selling EDM Wire Cut and Laser Machine machines, I saw a potential opportunity to develop the service work for our customers and new customers who would be able to learn, strengthen and grow all along together with us. I would adopt the service policy and things recommended by Mr. Wichene for implementation because it would allow us to expand our customer base even more and eventually make us become a center of technology in Thailand in the future as the most important thing would be the after-sales service. After the Factory Automation products were combined together, it would be as if we were ready in every aspect no matter what it was on the Digital Marketing, CNC and Automation systems. Even maintaining and fixing various equipment, it could be done more efficiently and faster to meet the needs of the customers being taken care by us and new customers who would come in. All these would result in our customers to have confidence in our care.

“Whether they are our existing customers or customers who are about to become our new customers, from our experience in taking care of the after-sales service whether it is a development of the Engineering Team and the organizing of training seminars on the use and maintenance of the machines that we have already done regularly, we are even better prepared once we have integrated our products. The after-sales service will be even stronger than before because we are ready on the aspect of the Engineers of every work sector for integration in the same place. Over in the past, we could create our customers’ personnel to have higher capabilities which we could measure from the use of the after-sales service through the Line Official system whereby we can communicate and give answers to various problems quickly and allow users to be able to quickly solve immediate problems and understand how to very well take care of the machines by own self. This is a testament to prove how strong Mitsubishi is.”
