Universal Robots Showcases AI Accelerator, UR8 Long, UR15, UR7e and UR12e at Collaborate Thailand 2025
Universal Robots (UR), the world’s leading collaborative robot (cobot) company, hosted Collaborate Thailand 2025 in Bangkok, reaffirming Thailand’s strong growth potential for collaborative automation. With more than 15 cobots showcased live on the floor, Collaborate Thailand is the largest cobot conference in Southeast Asia. The event brought together more than 300 participants including decision-makers, industry leaders, and UR ecosystem partners to experience the latest hardware, software, and AI-powered solutions transforming industries worldwide.
At this year’s conference, themed “Collaborative Automation: The Future of Industry”, UR introduced groundbreaking products, including the UR8 Long, which was globally launched last month, and the UR15, which delivers unparalleled motion capability and an impressive maximum tool center point (TCP) speed of 5 m/s.

“Automation is no longer a choice but a strategic imperative for manufacturers facing labor shortages, cost pressures, and complex production demands. The conversation has shifted from ‘why’ to ‘how fast.’ At Teradyne Robotics, we are leading this transformation, bringing physical AI and flexible automation from concept to real-world impact, with proven technologies that are redefining productivity and performance for manufacturers worldwide.” said Poi Toong Tang, Vice President, Asia Pacific, Teradyne Robotics.
Thailand continues to be a critical hub for automotive and electronics manufacturing, industries that face increasing demand for automation. Recognizing this opportunity, Colin Soh, Sales Director – SEAO, Teradyne Robotics, said: “Thailand has the right ingredients to become a regional leader in automation with strong government support, skilled talent, and a robust manufacturing base. With our next-generation cobots and software, and market-tailored models such as the UR7e and UR12e, we are committed to making advanced automation more accessible as Thailand accelerates its Industry 4.0 goals.”
AI Accelerator and Next-Gen Cobots take centerstage
UR’s AI Accelerator – designed to bring intelligent, adaptive capabilities to automation – was another standout at the event. Running on the NVIDIA Jetson AGX Orin system-on-module and powered by NVIDIA Isaac CUDA-accelerated libraries and AI models, UR’s AI Accelerator provides developers with an extensible platform to build and de-risk applications, reduces time to market and addresses previously unsolvable challenges in collaborative robotics. The platform enables rapid development of AI-powered automation solutions with applications including AI Object Detection, Smart Path Planning, AI Defect Detection and Workspace Calibration.
In addition to cutting-edge hardware, UR showcased its latest software and services. These included PolyScope X with innovative features such as MotionPlus, OptiMove, lead-to-teach programming, and UR Studio, as well as URCare, a unique global service that supports businesses worldwide. URCare is unmatched in the industry, demonstrating UR’s scale and commitment to long-term customer success.
Showcasing real-world applications
Another highlight of the event was the live cobot innovation demos with UR+ partners, showcasing real-world applications across pick and place, assembly, welding, inspection, spraying, and more. These demonstrations illustrated how UR’s global ecosystem creates end-to-end automation experiences, enabling businesses of all sizes to achieve measurable productivity and quality gains.
Building on these innovations, UR’s customers are already applying cobots to solve real-world challenges in their factories. Toyoda Gosei (Thailand), for example, has integrated Japan’s craftsmanship philosophy of Karakuri with UR collaborative robots to create a more flexible and efficient automation system.

“To address labor shortages on our production lines, we have integrated Japan’s craftsmanship philosophy of Karakuri with UR collaborative robots to build a more flexible and efficient automation system. This approach not only eases the physical workload for our employees but also helps cultivate the next generation of automation engineers. We look forward to expanding this human–robot collaboration model across our global factories, further strengthening Toyoda Gosei’s foundation in smart manufacturing.” said Mr. Keigo Kimura, Vice President, Toyoda Gosei (Thailand).
Universal Robots remains dedicated to driving innovation in collaborative automation and supporting Thailand’s Industry 4.0 journey as a trusted partner to manufacturers worldwide.
