Mitsubishi Appoints General Manager “Everyone who is Thai”
Exclusive interview with the new General Manager

Mr. Nopadol Kangsachat, General Manager of Industrial Automation Machinery Division, Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., The General Manager position historically recorded as, “The First Thai to Hold”.
“Over the past 20 years that I have worked with Mitsubishi Electric Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., from the very first day of my joining until now, the most important goal is to work towards the goal to attain the objectives as assigned. After learning that I had been appointed to hold the position of the General Manager, my first feeling was, of course, my blissful delightedness and pride that all Executives had rested their trusts in me and that I was ready to dedicate my energy and all out efforts to the Company in full capacity to deserve the trusts of the Senior Management and to develop the organization to be more efficient and increase sales even more further up in the future.”

What is the Main Supporting Factor that Enables You to Step Up to Take This Position?
“The most important factor is the working support provided by our Working Team. I owe very much grateful thanks to all the Working Team members for their hard work and dedication according to the plan that I set out to the extent of resulting in the Company to successfully achieve the fruitful expectation in carrying out the operations as seen over in the past. That’s my main goal to get everyone in coming to see the same goal, not for myself or any individual team member, but it is the goal that we will steadfastly be able to stand at the forefront of the metalworking industry and to eventually be accepted by all entrepreneurs.

I believe that all our Team members are capable. The important thing is how we can do to go right to the top which everything depends on our co-operations in striving to overcome obstacles to reach the goal gracefully. My Working Team is therefore the most important support to get us to this point. In addition, the Japanese Executive, Mr.Shunji Kayashima Director, who had a lot of working experience, whether in Nagoya, head office and in Thailand plays a vital role for my success. His unique vision in giving me the opportunity to manage the business over the past 5 years, including solving problems together between me and him had apparently resulted in me to be able to learn the guidelines on the management approach. Moreover, the vision so conveyed made me fully understand that everything would not be able to reach the goal if a good working support should not be provided from many parties.”
How Were Things in Terms of the Operational Results or Total Purchase Orders in the Past?
“Over in the past, the operational results and the total purchase orders no matter what they are laser machines, wire cutting machines, could make sales continuously even though we had been faced with the problem of COVID-19 situation that caused the business to stop to a substantial extent. But, with the capability of the Company’s machines, Service Team and efficient Sales Team, we were able to overcome various obstacles fairly well, thus, resulting in the sales to be at a satisfactory level.

While on the mater of my responsibilities for sales activities, it is not just only that I have currently been assigned to oversee the sales of the machines but also the aluminum injection molding productions of the aluminum production plant which is yet a great challenge to my ability. As I had deeply been involved with the manufacturing activities during my working tenure in Japan, I therefore understand about the work and about what the further planning shall be and how the advice shall be provided or what the decision making shall be in order to reach what we want. We have currently been trustful by new customers to carry on the productions of workpieces continuously.”
How have the Business, Personnel Development for the Company’s Further Growth Been Planned?
“Business planning and personnel development are extremely important in a large corporate entity and, as such, the Company’s workplan has always been mapped out to be in compatibility with the situation. Currently, the Company has been in charge to oversee the market in Thailand, ASEAN, Australia and New Zealand for a period of 1 year and has sold laser machines to Australia. Yet, another goal of ours is to develop a Sales Team. and a Service Team to have thorough knowledge in order to be able to fully support the international markets to increase sales more than ever and to allow our personnel to grow up to replace me in the future because personnel development is essential to make the overall growth of the company even better.”



Marketing Strategy in 2023 and in the Future.
“At present, the President has set the marketing strategy by giving more importance to both online, offline and tradeshows. Everyone will see an evident increase in work sections, digital marketing that we have already done. Opportunities have been opened to employees from many Departments to have guidelines and concepts that will jointly develop the organization to be successful, on how to make our products more popular in the market places. You will soon see a new website, more and more new promotions to be part of the sales in new business.
Moreover, on 10 March 2023, we were honored by To-i Engineering Co., Ltd., that, in this respect, Mr. Sakda and Mrs. Rina Soom-Em had created a new page of the history ever with Mitsubishi Electric Automation Thailand Co., Ltd., by ordering ML3015GX-F120 12000-watt Fiber Laser, a machine larger than the standard ones, which at the time of placing the purchase order, such machine model had not been planned to be imported into the production plan. However, it was intended just to be an information that Mitsubishi Company had an idea to manufacture and sell ML3015GX-F120 or 12000 Watt machine model. After the efficiency of the machine had been described to Mr. Sakda and Mrs. Rina Soom-Em, they decided to place the purchase order for such machine despite the fact that such machine had not yet been manufactured for sale. This is an obvious reiteration that the quality of machines and the after-sales services of Mitsubishi are definitely good.




While Mr. Somchin Leelaket, the Company President, decided to hold an Open House at the factory of To-i Engineering Co., Ltd., to mark that the purchase order for the machine which was the first one of its kind in the world had formally been placed in order to show the trustfulness of and express our gratefulness to Mr. Sakda and Mrs. Rina Soom-Em, who have always rested their trusts well on our Company. At the Open House, we received good responses from entrepreneurs who had come to visit the event and talk to our Working Team. In Addition, we were honored by Senior Executive from Mitsubishi Corporation Headquarters in Tokyo and Police Colonel Phitsanu Atchanapornkul, Deputy Commander of Krabi Provincial Police, Police Region 8, who took part in the event to launch the product and witness the success of this time.
Whereon the 2023 marketing plan, we have a plan to launch the ML3015GX-F120 Fiber Laser machine for the first time in Asia at the Intermach 2023 Exhibition which is scheduled to take place from 10–13 May 2023 at BITEC, Bangna, to allow entrepreneurs to have the opportunity to experience the potential of the high-end machine which will be a lot different from the conventional machines.
At the same time, I was honored by the Executive of INFORMA MARKETS, Mr. Sanchai Noombunnam, Country General Manager Thailand, and brothers and sisters of the Project Organizing Team of the 2023 Intermach Exhibition, of INFORMA MARKETS, who took care of Mitsubishi Corporation, to have group photograph taken and express congratulation on the accomplished achievement and emphasize that we will work together to create works and confirm success and the intention to bring High Power ML3015GX-F120 machine for exhibition for the first time in Asia to show the potential of the machine.
Looking back into the period of 20 years ago when I started working at Mitsubishi as a sales staff, the ML3015HV-40CF laser machine was placed on exhibition for the first time. Ever since util nowadays, we have sold nearly 300 laser machines in Thailand. So, this is yet another reason that makes me decide to bring the lates model machine for exhibition at the Intermach exhibition from 10-13 May 2023.
