Change in the leadership of the HELLER Group
Nürtingen, 9 January 2023 – With immediate effect, Dr Thorsten Schmidt (50) will become the new CEO of Heller Management SE, Nürtingen. His predecessor Reinhold Groß (53) has left the company by mutual agreement.

As of now, Thorsten Schmidt will be taking over as Chairman of the Executive Board of Heller Management SE and Chairman of the Management Board of Gebr. Heller Maschinenfabrik GmbH enjoint capacity. As Managing Partner of Kerkhoff Group GmbH, Düsseldorf, he has been advising HELLER since July 2022 and provides many years of experience in the machine tool industry. From October 2006 to December 2015, Schmidt was Chief Sales Officer of Gildemeister AG, Bielefeld. Subsequently, he was responsible for the further development of the US business as CEO at DMG MORI. Schmidt also headed a foundation of the German Machine Tool Builders’ Association (VDW) committed to the support of young talent.
The Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Heller Management SE, Klaus Winkler, would like to thank Reinhold Groß on behalf of the Board for his commitment, wishing him all the best personally and professionally.
