Mr. Anshuman Tripathy (Anshu), Sales Manager, Cad Cast, gave his accounts to “Manufacturing Review Magazine” that Cad Cast had been engaged in the main business relating to 3D Printing Technology used in the industry which, mostly, would use it in the mass manufacturing industry. Cad Cast’s products would be in diversified target customers such as jewelry group or a group of industrial production related to casting because, at present, many people see the 3D printing work as an Additive Manufacturing (AM), i. e. the workpiece forming process which could be done by adding materials to connect together in the form of liquid or powder that many people call it the 3D Printing which is currently very popular and widespread in the mass manufacturing industry.

3D Printing is an ideal innovation for Mass Manufacturing. In Thailand, a large number of automotive manufacturing industries have their production bases set up and that those manufacturers are looking for 3D printing molded with sand powder. Mr.Anshu further added, “We have a 3D printing machine moulded with sand powder under the machine brand name of “voxeljet”. The 3D printing machine of voxeljet, especially, VX4000 version is the largest machine in the world that can form workpieces up to the size of 4 x 2 x 1 meter and is suitable for additive manufacturing which the automotive industry is in need for use”. For the “voxeljet”, it is a 3D printing machine molded with sand powder. Made in Germany, the machine currently consists of 5 versions placed on sales worldwide, which are VX200, VX500, VX1000, VX2000 and VX4000. Customers can bring sand powder from suppliers anywhere for use in casting work.
The remarkably outstanding feature of this VX4000 version machine as known to all of us is that it can mold workpieces as large as up to 4 x 2 x 1 meter in size. Another remarkably outstanding point is that it is the machine ideally suitable for producing small quantities of work and mass manufacturing work such as boat propellers, air pump propellers
or equipments, tools, machines used in the automotive industry requiring a large quantity, especially, some types of workpieces that the VX4000 machine can produce up to 12,000 pieces within 60 hours. At present, a large number of major manufacturers have made use of the sand powder forming processes by using 3D Printing to mold the workpieces in the goods products.
“Additive Manufacturing or 3D printing is still considered a new matter for the manufacturing industry in Thailand. Many people may have already been aware of it that it can be used in the Mass Manufacturing work group, yet, there are still many people who have not known as to how they can use 3D printing along with their own production process. Therefore, the Cad Cast Team will provide assistances by going to look at the production process and the products of the customers and make determination as to what types of their products are and then give them the instructions on how to use 3D printing that will suit their productions. In this connection, the Cad Cast Team will primarily offer the 3D printing machine to the manufacturing industry. Hence, the after sales service work will be involved, as well, which, in this respect, Cad Cast can respond to every need of the customers upon requested.
