“Mitsubishi Electric’s” Intelligent Robots and Software Increase Opportunities and Competitiveness, Helps Increase Efficiency and Reduce Production Costs in the Long Run.

Mr. Chakrit Vithoonthip, CNC Sales Engineer, CNC Sales Department, Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., gave his account that Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation (Thailand) Co., Ltd., or MELFT was officially established in 2013 through a merger between Mitsubishi Electric and F. A. Tech Co., Ltd., to carry out business on the imports and distributions of Factory Automation products with over 20 years of experience in Thailand. The company places the importance on every piece of the products. As such, the focus on personnel potential development is prioritized. In this regard our Engineers are sent to Japan for training in the field of maintenance and learning modern technology all the time that up until now, they are are skillful in the products and have expertise in PLC, Inverter, HMI, Servo and CNC maintenances.

At the recent INTERMACH 2024, MELFT introduced the smart factory robot solution which is the Robot Assembly Application with 3D-Vision and Force Sensor that will help with the assembly of various parts in the industrial factories even more efficient. It is the work of the RV-8CRL robot in combination with Robot Option like MELFA-3D Vision and Force Sensor that helps in efficiently picking up LEGO pieces which are stacked on top of one another and, moreover, the robot is configured to work with a MELSENSOR VS80 that helps in checking the workpiece orientation. The work process will start with the workpiece tray 3D vision scanning to determine the workpiece location followed by signal sending to the robot to pick up the workpieces. After that, VS80 will capture the workpiece image to check its direction accuracy before being brought for assembling. In the event that the workpieces in the tray have run out while 3D Vision is scanning, the robot will sort out the workpieces by using VS20, which captures the images for color sorting. The robot then automatically picks up the workpieces to the correctly colored tray.

The next solutions that MELFT is proud to present is SCADA GENESIS64™ Decarbonization solutions, a SCADA software that can help analyze greenhouse gas emissions in various industries, present a display being a real-time simulated image that the users can view the process of carbon emissions in industrial factories by hourly, daily, monthly and yearly basis in order to plan the production systems, control the use of energy and greenhouse gas emissions so that they do not exceed the defined standards or reduce the amount of release to a minimum which will eventually lead to tax exemptions, tax reductions or even the sales of carbon credits to other factories that emit carbon in excess of the defined standards.

In addition, the SCADA system monitors and analyzes data using quality, cost-effective GENESIS64™ operational software that comes with real-time image display to enhance the flexibility in connecting various display views for organizational management. Generally, this system is used for monitoring the status and controlling operations of the systems in the industries and engineering works, such as, SCADA systems for factories, waterworks, electricity, wastewater treatments, energy management, oil and gas refining and many other industries. In this connection, our Mitsubishi Electric Factory Automation provides comprehensive services in making complete SCADA systems for factories and the smart building industry supervised by professional Engineers under the same standards as those in Japan.
