Mr. Pei-Fung Sun, Marketing & Sales Manager, ASSOMA INC., stated that ASSOMA INC. was established in Taiwan in 1978 in Taipei and we started off in initially starting with the manufacture and design of a Um! chemical process pump using magnetic drive technology. So at the time, we are very small company. Now, we have grown to a much bigger company, but, we are still small to medium size business in Taiwan. We are serving several countries in the world and in Thailand. We have been working in this market for over 20 years starting with the semiconductor industry so, we have very long history in Thailand.
The types of application. You can see that our pumps have a complete exterior design. The design in this way because our pumps are used for highly corrosive chemicals. Therefore, they are used for a lot of electronics industries, as well as the automotive manufacturing industry and in the other countries like in Taiwan, we are using in the semiconductor industry. Those are the types of applications for our pumps.
Traditionally, The design factors for chemical pumps primarily focus on pump safety. Historically, efficiency was not a key consideration. However, due to our close collaboration with customers in Thailand and Taiwan, a lots of the customers, the products are exported to customers like Intel, like Motorola to these companies they focused on the cover blueprints of the customers’ products, so, a lot of customers are when asking us to help them reduce the cover blueprints in the manufacturing process, so, we have come up with this design which have both high efficiency motor and high efficiency pumps and in the past when we have done trial in Taiwan for a customer that was using IE 1 motor and they suit to IE 5 motor and high efficiency pumps, they are able to save over 20% in terms of energy use, so, there is very a useful for our customers to reach energy savings goal.
ASSOMA we have been designing a manufacturing pumps a long time over 40 years and we are the only pump company in Taiwan and has own certified pumps testing facility. We can do certified pumps report. Not many manufacturers do that because it is a big investment to build that facility. So at ASSOMA, we are going from design to testing to verification to the customers, so, when we do these, the customers they trust our quality, they trust our process and they trust the feasibility of our products. In Thailand we do have a distributor P.V.S. Trading and Engineering Co.,Ltd. They have been working with us in the Thailand markets for over 20 years. So, they are very strong in terms of the after-sales-service in the technology sector in the PCB industry in the car manufacturing industry. These few years, the expansion of the circuit boards factory in Thailand is also growing exponentially. So, we are actually setting up another sales service office in Thailand that has been managed by our staff from Taiwan.
