“THAISAKOL GROUP” CELEBRATES ITS 50TH ANNIVERSARY: STANDING AS A LEADING FIGURE IN THE METALWORK INDUSTRY; SECOND-GENERATION HEIR REVEALS THE CONTINUOUS DEVELOPMENT AND INNOVATION AS KEY FACTORS FOR THE ‘SUCCESS’.

Thaisakol Group Co., Ltd., celebrates its 50th anniversary, recollecting its origins as a pioneer in importing blades and saw blades for large-scale industries. Proud to be a part of Thailand’s manufacturing industry, the company highlights continuous development and innovation as key factors to its enduring success, while also leveraging new technologies to provide customers with a more comprehensive range of products.

 

 

From the starting point by Mr. Prawit Kobkulsuwan, Chairman and Founder, Thaisakol Group Co., Ltd., began its business in 1975 with woodworking and plywood factory, and was one of importers of goods from abroad for sales in Thailand in 1975. During the initial period, the business was not widely known, so opportunities were sought for growth and expansion to the extent of eventually entering the metalworking industry with the co-operations of numerous partners and suppliers.

 

“Thaisakol Group” moved forward into full-scale manufacturing industry, selling products in over 40 business categories, including wood, metal, paper, plastic, electronics, etc. Currently, business management is inheritably handed over to Mr. Panitan Kobkulsuwan, heir of the second-generation and the eldest son who holds the position of Managing Director. He said the key core that still made Thaisakol Group trustful by customers to the extent of enabling us to carry on business over 50 years has been stemmed from the company’s most important DNA: Never Stood Still, Never Stopped Development, and Always Adapts Itself to New Trends and Customers’ Demands.

 

Mr. Kobkulsuwan went on saying, throughout the past 50 years, Thaisakol Group has sold products that are still in demand in the market. The adoption of new technologies in the business, including automation and laser technology, including the “Additive Manufacturing or 3D printing”, has been crucial in offering customers comprehensive solutions, leveraging generational experience to adapt to the modern era, expanding customer bases, importing new products, which must be a “One Stop Service” to customers covering the imports, distributions, maintenances, after-sales service, and providing consultations.

 

Currently, Thaisakol Group comprises four main companies, each with different areas of expertise:

 

Thaisakol Group: The main company, responsible for importing goods from abroad. It specializes in selecting quality products from manufacturers worldwide. The products can be divided into two main groups: cutting machines and industrial machinery such as metal cutting machines, aluminum cutting machines, pipe cutting machines, and laser cutting machines. This includes Additive Manufacturing or 3D Printing technology.

 

Thaisakol B and B: The company specializes in the production of all types of industrial blades, covering wood, paper, packaging, plastic, and metal.

 

Thaisakol Service Center: The largest sharpening and repair center for cutting tools in ASEAN, providing sharpening services for all types of products sold by the company, including PCD, Carbide, and HSS blades.

 

Thaisakol Machinery: The after-sales service center for machinery, providing installation, training, and maintenance services by expert technicians. It also serves as a showroom for customers who want to view machinery, test it, or use it as a “Training Center” to practice their skills in using the machinery.
